How to identify warm leads in your audience

Do you know the difference between ideal clients and warm leads?  Today I want to talk to you about how to identify warm leads in your audience, and take them from ice cold, to piping hot. Let’s dive in! 

Identify warm leads.

What I want to help you do is identify who those warm leads are right now in your audience. You can deploy some of these strategies to identify who they are, and then  intentionally connect with them through your content, through your conversation, through your brand and then track them.

First, we need to create content that speaks to our ideal client as a whole. But how will we know if they are warm or cold if we don’t interact with them?

Cultivate interactions.

In order to identify an ideal client as a warm ideal client, we need to interact with them. And the best way to do this is  by creating content that speaks directly to them, creating a conversation around it, and then inviting them to interact with you.

I’m talking about really good, juicy, valuable content where people are leaning in, they are learning from you, they are learning to trust you, viewing you as an authority, and then they are commenting or interacting with your content. It needs to be very specific to the topic because it needs to be directly correlated to what you are selling.

Know when it’s time to sell.

Once you have identified your warm leads by interacting with them, it’s time to identify  the person that has slowly raised their hand and said “I’m kind of interested in what you’ve got to say”. It’s your job to continually warm them up until they are hot and you can actually sell to them. And by actually selling to them, what I mean is you can talk to them in the DM’s and say  “I’d love to have you in this program”. 

You can do this because you have a relationship with them that allows this level of interaction. If you don’t have a relationship built from trust, then you should not be pitching in the DMs. I’ve talked about this before and there’s a hot topic around whether or not to pitch in the DMs. It IS possible if you’re only pitching to piping hot leads.

The more you create content that supports the offers that you were trying to sell and supports your ideal client, the more chances are that it’s not gonna be the last interaction. And those connection points will build up to the point where many times you’ll see a conversion.

Be patient.

I want you to understand that identifying those warm leads takes time and effort. It’s not about just bringing people into your world as fast as you can and expecting a sale. You have to nurture them, and then continue to nurture them. Sometimes this can happen in weeks, but it’s more likely to take months, and even years in some cases.
