Today we’re chatting about the three things you can control in your business. And that probably comes as a relief for some of you, especially those of you who struggle with not being able to control a lot of the aspects in your business. And listen, I am one of them. It is difficult for me to release control and I am very much working on surrendering in my business and it is something that I am intentionally and consciously working on.
#1 Effort
Your effort is always controlled by you and no one else. No matter what it is that you decide to do, no matter what plan you have in front of you, you control the level of effort you approach that plan with. So whether it’s working with your clients, or implementing your marketing strategy, whatever it is, you control your effort. So don’t forget that one.
#2 Action
You control the actions that you take. And those actions dictate what happens in your business. You can apply action in your business and you can apply the effort that you want to put towards that action. And I know that this is maybe not what a lot of people want to hear, but it takes work. It takes intentionality. It takes willpower, discipline, and commitment.
#3 Attitude
This is probably the hardest one. It really is. Because it takes a lot of personal growth, self-awareness, meditation, and prayer to consciously decide to have a good attitude. Especially when you feel like things are not working, and even when you feel like nobody’s buying. It takes intentionality. But if you can keep your attitude right, and stay focused on the value you are giving in your services, or the value that you’re giving in conversations, your attitude will be better.
I’m going to recommend for anybody that’s listening here, whether you are in a season in your business where things are a little bit slower, or you’re in a season of business where things are going really, really well, always come back to what you can control and stop focusing so heavily on what you cannot control.
