Lacking inspiration? 3 steps to get your mojo back!

Today we’re going to chat about an important topic that has to do with that feeling of being in a creative slump. This episode is for you if your inspiration is lacking, your mojo has taken a nosedive and you’re just feeling “meh” about your business. In order to continue to sell and keep your head in the game, you need to feel excited and inspired about your business. If you’re in a normal flow of life and you’re just lacking inspiration, or even if you’re in a difficult season of life, this episode is for you.

I’m going to take you through three simple steps to get your mojo and inspiration back. They’re going to sound simple,  but they will require you to do a little bit of work. I recommend that you do this work with pen and paper, and just let your inspiration flow.

Step #1: Re-anchor into your vision and goals.

It is vital, your vision is your North Star, that is where you are headed and where you know you want to go. It is your mountain top. You should have a big vision for your life. And then I also recommend that you have a vision for your business. What is that vision that you have for your business specifically? How do you want to be making your money? Who are you working with? What does your average day look like? How do you feel in your business?

Ideally you are creating a statement for both: a big vision statement and a business vision statement. Now from those visions, you need to create some goals. I recommend that you create goals that are not so far off in the future, bring it down, break it down. You are going to start feeling connected to your business again and even probably your life again.

Step #2: Get reacquainted with your ideal clients

I want you to get really reacquainted with your ideal client. I know this sounds foundational, but trust me when I say we all should be going back to our ideal client and getting re-anchored into our ideal client every couple months. Does this ideal client still line up with what I’m offering? Is this still aligned? Does this still excite me? Is this still accurate? If maybe you’ve not done this in a while, get really clear on who you want to work with. What are they struggling with? What are their desires? Create that vision of that person or that business owner. And while this is a completely different topic, statistics are showing that digging more into the desires of your ideal client is better at converting than constantly pushing on the bruises that they have.

Step #3: Look at your offers

Now that you have that big vision in mind, your business vision, you’ve got some goals and you are really reacquainted with that ideal client, it’s time to look at your offers. Do they fit? Do they match? Are they truly serving your ideal client in the best way possible? Now, this could be a chance for you to do some tweaking, do some reworking and it’s also a chance for you to answer questions like: “do I love my offers? Do I love how I’m delivering them? Are the prices attractive to me? Do I love the format?”.  Sometimes we’re lacking inspiration because we don’t actually want to sell them. This is a chance to look at the offers and make sure you are a hundred percent aligned with them and that you are very, very clear on how your offer can serve your ideal client.

That’s it! Sometimes it really is as easy as 1, 2, 3! These are my go-to places to start when people tell me, “I just don’t know what to post anymore. I feel like I just stare at a blank screen, I feel confused about what I’m supposed to be saying, I don’t really know how to sell this”. Nine times out of ten, you’re just lacking clarity. Now it’s time to grab that journal, set aside some quiet time and do the actual work!
