My Recipe for FAST Momentum (you might not like this)

You’ve been in business for years now. You’ve got some clients, you know how to get more, and you’re making decent money. But here’s the thing – you’re stuck. Stagnant. The momentum you once had has slowed, and you’re ready for more. You want to double your revenue, work fewer hours, and finally break through to that next level. Sound familiar? If you’re nodding your head right now, what I’m about to tell you might ruffle some feathers, but it’s exactly what you need to hear.

Act Like You’re Brand New (Yes, Really)

Here’s my controversial advice: act like you’re a brand new business owner.

I’m talking about your marketing. Your visibility. Your energy. Remember when you first started? You had FIRE. You were excited, determined, hungry. You knew you were the underdog, and you were willing to do whatever it took to catch up.

That version of you was willing to go live in your Facebook group every single day for a month. She was doing an hour of engagement daily on Instagram. She was posting consistently, reaching out to people, answering questions in Facebook groups, and positioning herself as the authority. She was pitching people and going all in – even if it meant working 50+ hours a week.

And guess what? It worked. That energy built momentum quickly and brought in clients. I remember going on one Facebook Live, giving a 15-minute pitch, and having 10 discovery calls within an hour.

The Hard Truth About Effort

You have so much power in this, but here’s what you might not want to hear: if you’ve been coasting along and you want to double your revenue, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. The one thing completely in your power is your effort.

I get it – you might not have a lot of time. As a mom of four, I remember working between naps, early in the morning, and late into the night (I’m talking 11 PM or midnight). Every pocket of time I had, I was putting energy and effort toward growing this business.

What I’m asking might be hard for you to give, but you need to ask yourself: How bad do you want this? Because it might look like working way more than you want to – but we’re not talking about just any work. We’re talking about money-making activities that generate authority, leads, and visibility.

Make Time or Make Excuses

If you don’t feel like you have time for these activities, you’ve got to make the time. Carve it out. Say no to other things. Maybe let some clients go or bring on help to lighten your load. You’ve got to figure this out because the online space keeps moving.

That girl who just started her business with fire in her belly? She will outpace you so fast. Why? Because she’s prioritizing visibility, authority, and getting in front of people. That’s the name of the game right now.

Consistency Builds Trust

If you can get in front of your ideal client consistently and speak directly to their pain points and desires, showing them you’re the person who can help them solve their problems – you’re the person they’ll go to when they’re ready.

But if you’re not in front of them and somebody else is with a similar message, they’re going with that person. It doesn’t matter if you’re six years in or one year in. They’re going with the person they trust the most. And who do you trust the most? The person who’s most consistent.

Stop Thinking You’ve “Paid Your Dues”

I know this conversation can be hard, especially if you feel like you’ve paid your dues. But you’ve got to stop thinking like that. This isn’t a “paid my dues” scenario. You’re an online business owner, and the online space has changed and evolved. You need to change and evolve with it.

If you haven’t prioritized your marketing activities every single day, you’re behind. I’m sorry if that triggers you, but if you haven’t prioritized these things month in and month out, you’ve got to buckle down and create a system where you can market every single day to get back to a place where clients are coming in consistently.

The Reality Check

I had a client who’s truly an OG in her industry – an absolute master at what she does. But she hasn’t prioritized showing up and marketing consistently. Now she feels like she’s starting over (even though she has receipts and is the real authority). Her job is to go back to the beginning and do what she did when she first started her business.

It doesn’t feel great, but it’s necessary. The best thing you can do is accept where you’re at. If you want to continue playing this game, if you want a one-to-many offer that requires volume, if you want to scale – you’ve got to act as if nobody knows you exist, and it’s your job to make sure they know you’re good at what you do.

Find Your Fire Again

Here’s the thing – I’m not saying you sprint forever. But the problem for many of you is that you backed off too much. You got comfortable and slowly eased up on the gas until you were coasting. Now you’re going so slow that you risk stopping altogether. I’ve seen businesses completely die this way.

Think about what you’d tell a friend who wanted to break into your industry as a brand new service provider. Be brutally honest – what would you tell them they need to do? Because if someone came to me wanting to make six figures working part-time, I’d be brutal about the reality: they’d need to work twice as hard to get visible, potentially doing 2-3 hours of marketing daily.

The Process Works

Yes, I work about 20 hours a week on average and make six figures every year (going on six years now). But there’s absolutely no way I could do that without putting in the initial work and building the business structure, offers, systems, and team to support me.

Even if you only have 30 minutes a day, use it smartly. It’s better to take baby steps than stand still. In this online space, you have to evolve because what’s working today won’t work tomorrow.
